About Ellenbogen Inspections
Ellenbogen Inspections has been serving South Florida since 2006. Our primary service areas are Broward and Palm Beach. Please call for Dade county. We perform several types of inspections and work with many insurance agencies to help maintain or lower your premiums. We make our inspection process easy and affordable.
President and Owner: Susan Kaplan Ellenbogen
Susan was born and raised in South Florida in the construction industry. Having worked for her father and uncle for many years as their property manager and supervisor, she gained the necessary experience to run Ellenbogen Inspections.
In time, Susan started Ellenbogen Inspections to fill a very important need in South Florida. After Hurricane Wilma, Homeowner Insurance skyrocketed and her company was there to help maintain or lower premiums.
Susan also took the steps to get certified by Bill York, creator of the standardized Florida wind loss mitigation form. She only hired and still only hires licensed Building Code Inspectors , Contractors and Home Inspectors.
Susan has a both a Bachelors and Master's Degree in Education.
Owner: Steven Ellenbogen
Steven was born and raised in South Africa and holds a BA degree from Witswater and University in Johannesburg. After marrying Susan in 1989 he went to work with her father building residential new construction homes in Margate, Coral Springs, Weston and Delray Beach.
After completing over 200 homes, he branched off on his own and built several Townhouse developments in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Steven became a Standard Building Code Inspector in 2007 when he saw the need to complete the insurance driven inspections.
He is also certified in ICC code. Steven is a licensed General Contractor (NASCLA Certified) a Building Contractor as well as a Building Code Inspector.
